WAP SOLUTIONS
WAP (Wireless Access Protocol) offers a unique push functionality which unlike other mobile protocols allows you to send data to a mobile phone without any prompting from the recipient. WAP was developed to be extremely light in terms of file size and as a result present users with a fast concise method of browsing websites from their mobile phones. Unfortunately for WAP the alternatives such as MMS which allows for a push size of up to 300kbs and traditional internet protocol sites which can host more dynamic and rich media have overshadowed the adoption of WAP.
